Just a quick note to let you know what I personally consider the most brilliant German film of 2007:

It’s Free Rainer starring Moritz Bleibtreu! It’s about a TV producer changing fronts, in order to save people from bad TV shows. He accomplishes this by manipulating the devices which are responsible for the viewing figures. Too bad only a few people are going to watch this film.

In addition, I recommend Shoppen, a film about speed dating. Now, this is where German cinema distinguishes from German TV.

Finally this thing is going to work out. We’re back with a simplified style. At first, I wasn’t quite sure about the colors though. The initial idea was to have some bright and shiny colors to complement bright and shiny articles. ;-) On the other hand, why not try something new? As the new colors aren’t supposed to distract people from reading my articles (maybe the articles themselves may distract them..heh), I eventually opted for a darkish theme.

So, what is this all about? My primary concern is to talk about various aspects of UI design, usability and webstandards. Another reason for the presence of this weblog is to present things I consider interesting. Yet another reason is to write in English on a regular basis (besides my studies), as English is my secondary language, and it’s always nice to practice your secondary language just for the fun of it, isn’t it? ;)

So, the primary purpose of this weblog is not to generate revenue (e.g., by posting Fanboy articles and putting a sophisticated Google ad straight below), but to talk about some stuff, which *might* be interesting to some people surfing by. In the end, there are way too many weblogs out there, so there’s no need to play copycat.

And while you’re at it: If you like, you can leave some comments about the new colors and the layout in general. I appreciate the feedback!
